Preventing Ticks?

I'm going to be visiting some relatives subsequent week, and they've got plentifully of ticks in their nouns. Last time I visited I be only here for a few hours, but I found one on my thigh that night. What can I do to keep hold of them away?Preventing Ticks?
You can spray something like OFF! on you. That usually help. Long pants and sleeves when you are outside help. Also they say ticks are attracted to wishy-washy colors, so wear dark colors
I don't know if it works or not, and it wasn't an Avon hawker who told me, but anyway, she said to rub Avon "skin so soft" on your body and the smell is suppose to keep them away.
